Our private tuition offers weekly one-to-one or paired lessons with a dedicated tutor for the duration of the NSW public school term.
Lessons refine English knowledge, writing skills and critical thinking, and are tailored to each student’s course requirements and upcoming assessments.
This continuity allows us to understand each student’s strengths, identify weaknesses and target the areas that need attention, building stronger understanding and greater independence.

Our entire English philosophy is founded on backward design - we know what success in Year 12 requires, and we teach these skills from the start.
In junior years, our tutoring fosters a foundational understanding of English, developing core content knowledge, writing and analytical skills, and the fundamentals of critical thinking that are needed for senior years.
Year 10 tutoring marks a transition to our senior structures, where students are explicitly taught how to justify their choices, recognise what makes their work effective and approach increasingly challenging tasks with greater independence. These higher order thinking skills teach students how to read closely, recognise connections and develop their own interpretations, then shape those ideas into clear, purposeful writing.

Feedback is most useful when students understand the problem, the process and the next step.
Our proprietary marking matrix synthesises 42 independent yet interconnected criteria, identifying strengths, weaknesses and priorities for improvement by looking beyond individual sentences to the reasoning behind them. Feedback explains where analysis needs development, connections need clarification or expression is limiting the quality of an idea.
With a 72-hour turn around and a minimum 500 words of feedback, students receive a clear direction for revision while retaining ownership of their work.
The purpose extends beyond improving a single essay: we help students recognise patterns in their writing and make more informed decisions in future responses.
